Closing of Books of Account [ Depository / CDSL ]
 
** Depository / CDSL  Closing **
 
 
Step 1: Check Free Disk Space On Drive Where Oracle Is Installed. Free Space Must Be Approx. Twice Of  Current Database Size.
Step 2: If Available Disk Space Is Sufficient Then Take Running Database Backup.
Step 3: Create New Database For Last Financial Year From 'Database Configuration Assistant'.
Step 4: Take Depository Unlock From SCL For Running Database Giving Its Name And License Number.
Step 5: Unzip/Uncompress Unlock File (DPLOCK.ZIP/ CDSL.ZIP) In Program Folder and Execute It.
Step 6: Configure New Database From 'Net8 Configuration Assistant' i.e Entry In Tnsnames.ora is Required     For Database Connectivity. Do This For All The Client Notes.
Step 7: Edit Sql.ini File In program Folder And Find [oragtwy] Block,
           Add New Line:- remotedbname=<Last Year Database>,@<Last Year Database>
           i.e. Database Created In Step 3(eg. DP0405).
           Do This For All The Client Notes Also or Copy To Other Machines.
Step 8: Click Menu 'Tune New Database' Enter Last Year Database Name And Click Start.
           (New Created Database (Eg. DP0405)
Step 9: (a) Enter Running/Current Database Name (eg. DP9899).
            (b) Enter New Finacial Year Start & End Dates
                (eg. Current Fin. Year From: 01/04/2005 Current Fin. Year To: 31/03/2006).
            (c) Enter New Created Database Name (eg. DP0405).
            (d) Enter Last Year Finacial Start & End Dates
                (eg. Last Fin. Year From: 01/04/2003 Current Fin. Year To: 31/03/2004).
            (e) Enter Backup Name And Path
Step 9: Click Start Button This Process Will Take Time Depending on Database Size. Closing Will Be Completed After Successful Message.
Step 10: Lock Current Year Database. By Executing Unlock File ( DPLOCK / CDSLLOCK )
Step 11: Edit File COFILE.DLL In Program Folder. Add New Line With New Year Entry:
             <New Year Database Name><New Year Financial Year Description>
              (eg. DP9899 Financial year 01/04/05 To 31/03/06).
              Total Length Of Database Name Entry Must Be 9 Characters, If Not Add Spaces In End.
              Do This For All The Client Notes Also or Copy To Other Machines.
Step 12: Create Sysinfo.txt For Last Year Database By Executing Dpinfo.exe From Program Folder
Step 13: Upload C:\sysinfo.txt From File Uploader Giving Request For License For The Last Year Database      (Eg. DP0405)
